In Ukraine, some citizens and even foreigners may qualify for state assistance for utility payments. The amount of the subsidy is influenced by the number of registered (residing) individuals and the total family income for the month. From this, they calculate how much the subsidies will be using a special formula.
Not all incomes affect the subsidy amount. Mandatory incomes include salaries, military pay, pensions, and student scholarships.
Additionally, the subsidy amount is influenced by:
- social and insurance payments, including unemployment benefits,
- money sent from abroad,
- profits from securities,
- income from land leases, property sales, etc.
If a family member is an individual entrepreneur
For the simplified tax system, the total family income is considered regardless of whether income was received or not, and amounts to:
- one minimum wage — for group 1
- two minimum wages — for group 2
- three minimum wages for group 3.
