Ukraine is under attack from "Shaheds," with drones being shot down near Kyiv (updates ongoing).

In the night leading to Tuesday, December 24, and early morning, Russia launched drone attacks on Ukraine. Specifically, air defense systems were active near Kyiv.

Update 7:20 Air raid alerts due to UAV threats remain in effect for Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.

Update 7:02 According to "Suspilne Khmelnytskyi", explosions were heard again in Khmelnytskyi region.

Update 6:45 "Shahed" is moving towards Zhytomyr from the north, — stated the Ukrainian Air Forces.

Update 6:40 Explosions were reported in Khmelnytskyi region, reports "Suspilne Khmelnytskyi". At 6:40, the Armed Forces warned of UAVs approaching Khmelnytskyi from the south.

"Kyiv/Brovary — UAVs are heading your way from the east!", — warned the Ukrainian Air Forces at 5:19.

At 5:36, the Kyiv regional military administration reported the activation of air defense against enemy UAVs. Residents were urged to seek shelter.

It is worth noting that an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv region since the night. Around 03:40, the siren sounded in the capital as well.

Movement of enemy UAVs towards Kyiv was observed from the northern side. Air defense was operational, and explosions were also heard in Kyiv.

At 04:36, the air raid alert was lifted in the capital, and a minute later in the region as well. However, at 5:23, a repeated air raid alert was announced. The alert was lifted at 6:14.

As reported by "Telegraph", on the morning of December 23, residents of occupied Donetsk woke up to loud noises. At least six explosions were heard. The infrastructure of Kalinina Hospital was damaged.
