The screenplay for the film will be penned by journalist and author Nick Bilton, known for the HBO documentary "Fake Famous" (2021). Currently, the project is being pitched to studios and streamers, with comparisons being made to iconic films such as "The Departed" and "Goodfellas."
The future film will be produced by Scorsese, Johnson, Blunt, DiCaprio, Bilton, Dany Garcia, Lisa Freshett, and Rick Yorn.
It has been reported that this project became feasible due to the upcoming collaboration between Johnson and Blunt in the film "Ballistic Machine," which is expected to showcase one of Johnson's most dramatic roles.
For Scorsese and DiCaprio, this marks yet another collaboration.
