A former employee of the UK Ministry of Defence who led the UFO department in Whitehall from 1991 to 1994, Nick Pope, stated that he "does not rule out" a connection between the recent drone incursions at Royal Air Force bases in the UK and foreign states' concerns regarding a potential nuclear threat. This was reported by The Guardian, as conveyed by UNN.
Details
Three airbases in eastern England: Lakenheath, Mildenhall, and Feltwell are utilized by the United States Air Force (USAF). The US has yet to confirm whether any enemy drones were spotted in November.
The British UFO hunter believes that if foreign adversaries were responsible for the incident, they could have used third parties, possibly providing local drone enthusiasts with some equipment.
Pope added that Lord Cocker's statement in Parliament regarding the incursions being treated as a criminal investigation aimed at holding the perpetrators accountable supports his hypothesis.
According to the former Ministry of Defence employee, the incursion in November of this year is not the first instance of an unidentified flying object appearing near the Royal Air Force bases where nuclear weapons are stationed.
Reminder
Unknown drones were detected over the British airbases Lakenheath, Mildenhall, and Feltwell, which are operated by the US Air Force. The incidents occurred from November 20 to 22.
