In the Sumy region, an explosive ordnance disposal team from the police neutralized the warhead of a downed Russian strike drone that had not detonated. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Details
A resident of one of the villages in the Sumy district contacted the police line "102" to report that a downed enemy drone, brought down by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, had been discovered near the settlement where he lives.
Upon arriving at the specified coordinates, a mobile team from the explosive ordnance disposal service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Sumy region examined the downed drone, neutralized its 50-kilogram warhead, and transported it to a testing ground for destruction by detonation.
The police advise citizens that if they discover any explosive items - such as missiles, shells, mines, bombs, or their components - they should immediately report it to the authorities, military, or police by calling the 24-hour line "102".
Reminder
Explosive ordnance technicians in Poltava have conducted around 40 deployments to explosion sites since the beginning of 2025. The specialists neutralized warheads from downed enemy UAVs and reminded the public of safety rules when encountering suspicious objects.
