It is worth noting that all Ukrainian teams ended their performances in European competitions without glory. According to the results of the eight rounds in the Champions League, "Shakhtar" earned 7 points but failed to make it into the top 24, exiting European competitions. In the eight rounds of the Europa League, "Dynamo" accumulated 4 points and finished in 34th place in the main tournament. Moreover, the Kyiv team prematurely ended their quest for a place in the Europa League playoffs, and their last game against RFSh (1:0) in the tournament was merely a formality.
