Duda and Trump met during the CPAC conservative conference. Following this, the President of Poland gave an interview. He stated that Trump "wants to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine."
"We must not allow Russia to defeat Ukraine," said Duda.
According to the Polish President, "without American support, Ukraine will not survive this war," and considering the nature of Russia and the dictator Vladimir Putin, for whom the lives of Russian soldiers are insignificant, "this war needs to be concluded somehow."
He emphasized that the war should end with a just peace, ensuring that the conflict does not return and that Russia does not attack anyone again.
When discussing a potential visit by Donald Trump to Poland, the President noted that there is currently no possible date, but the Three Seas Summit, scheduled for the end of April, is a "significant date" for the American side.
Duda also mentioned that he reminded Trump about who he would be negotiating with and that Putin is a KGB officer.
