"I hope for something significant": Trump announced very constructive negotiations regarding Ukraine.

The American leader stated that many Ukrainian cities appear to be in worse condition than the Gaza Strip.
"Трамп выразил надежду на значительные изменения, комментируя конструктивные переговоры по Украине."

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States is engaged in "very constructive negotiations regarding Ukraine." He added that he will "do everything" to put an end to the war.

This statement was made by the U.S. leader during a press conference at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, writes "Voice of America." Trump remarked that due to the destruction in Ukraine, the cities look "as bad as Gaza, if not worse."

"Currently, the cities are largely devastated. We are talking about a very sad sight. We are talking about Gaza. Well, many of these cities look just as bad as Gaza, or even worse,” said the U.S. President.

He described the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine as an "absolute slaughter." According to Trump, his administration is negotiating with both Russia and Ukraine in an effort to halt this war.

"We are having very good negotiations, and I think we will succeed. I believe something will happen, hopefully something significant,” Trump added.

However, he did not provide any details about his plan to stop the war. The U.S. leader also did not respond to a question about whether he would demand that the Russians leave the occupied territories of Ukraine.

As reported by "Telegraph," earlier the President's Office commented on Donald Trump's statements that he is already negotiating with Ukraine and Russia. They noted that at this stage, Kiev and Washington are coordinating a time to hold a meeting of the administration representatives.
