New details have emerged about the chief psychiatrist of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who became a dollar millionaire during the war.

He could face up to 10 years behind bars.

The Chief Psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Druzy, who was detained due to suspicions of illegal enrichment amounting to one million dollars during the full-scale war, might have been planning to purchase a villa in Turkey. Additionally, he bought a kennel for his dogs for 300,000 hryvnias.

This information was reported by hromadske citing a source in law enforcement. According to the publication's informant, Druzy traveled to Turkey twice in 2024.

Reportedly, he intended to buy a three-story villa with a pool priced at 650,000 euros. While in Turkey, Druzy was in contact with a realtor who offered him various options for luxury housing.

Moreover, his adopted daughter lives in Turkey, for whom Druzy purchased a hybrid Toyota. He recorded a video of this purchase on his phone.

Law enforcement has established that Druzy's current wife is a Russian national, but she has already obtained Ukrainian citizenship. Her son lives in Kyiv, but still holds a Russian passport.

What is known about the case of the Chief Psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine detained Chief Psychiatrist Oleg Druzy, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Central Military Medical Commission, on January 21. He is suspected of illegal enrichment, as Druzy has allegedly amassed more than 1 million dollars during the full-scale war.

He did not report his enormous income in his declaration. Between 2022 and 2024, the suspect Druzy acquired a private house in Kyiv region, apartments, land, and BMW cars. He registered the property in the names of his wife, daughter, sons, and other third parties.

During searches, authorities also found 152,000 US dollars and 34,000 euros in Druzy's possession. The penalties for the charges against him could result in imprisonment for up to 10 years.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that during the court session regarding the preventive measure, Druzy complained about recently having suffered a heart attack. His lawyer also referred to the defendant's illness, but stated that he supposedly had a stroke.
