Russian occupiers will attempt to focus their efforts on seizing the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. TSN reports. This was stated by Kontrakty.UA.
The head of the Reserve Council of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ivan Tymochko, made this statement on the air of "24 Kanal".
According to him, the Russians reached a "plateau of opportunities" as early as the end of December, as well as in January 2025.
"Will they be able to replenish their reserves now, especially under conditions where their losses are increasing, while the trend to reinforce the army, on the contrary, is decreasing? But this does not mean that Putin does not understand this and will not seek ways to solve the problem," Tymochko noted.
He emphasized that currently, the enemy is trying to concentrate its efforts on the occupation of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Tymochko recalled that in Putin's latest interview, where he outlined the goals of the so-called "SVO" and the reasons for aggression against Ukraine, there was no longer any mention of changing the Ukrainian government, as he had previously claimed.
"Now Putin says that they attacked Ukraine because they 'wanted to liberate the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.' This means that the informational linkage of goals in the Russian space has narrowed down to two regions. This indicates that Putin makes such statements because he is being informed: if they do manage to occupy the Donetsk region, that will be the limit of their capabilities," Tymochko emphasized.
We remind you, how many soldiers the RF loses to capture one square kilometer of Ukraine.
