Additionally, as Shmyhal announced, tomorrow there will also be a reduction in prices for 100 of the most popular medications. There is also an agreement with Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies to lower prices on another 100 medical products. Prices will decrease by 10 to 50%.
“Starting from March 1, we will automatically extend the living allowances for internally displaced persons. Those who are currently receiving them will continue to do so automatically for the next six months. This concerns 1.2 million IDPs,” said the Prime Minister.
He also mentioned that a decision will be made today to allocate subsidies to people who did not receive them due to late submitted data. This is particularly relevant for situations where people live in homeowners' associations (OSBB), and service providers submitted information with delays or not at all.
The government will also regulate the issue of housing rent subsidies for IDPs. The Cabinet is making technical changes that will allow internally displaced persons to receive such subsidies for renting housing in Kharkiv and Sumy.
