Trump stated that Zelensky is ready for an agreement, while Russia is facing significant challenges.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is open to negotiations. Meanwhile, Russia may face economic challenges that could prompt its leader, Vladimir Putin, to engage in talks.

During his time in the Oval Office, Trump signed several decrees and responded to journalists' questions, including inquiries about the war in Ukraine.

Trump stated that "Zelensky wants to reach an agreement." The U.S. President expressed hope that Putin would also be ready for a deal, as "he is destroying Russia without making an agreement."

"I believe Russia has significant problems. Just look at the inflation in Russia... I would hope that he wants to reach an agreement," Trump added.

Furthermore, Trump indicated his intention to meet with Putin, without revealing any details regarding potential timelines, noting that "it could happen quite soon."

Trump also mentioned that he is trying to achieve an end to the war in Ukraine "as quickly as possible" and reiterated his assertion that this war "should never have started."

"It wouldn’t have started if I were president," he emphasized.
