The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, suggests utilizing frozen assets of the Russian Federation to fund aid for Ukraine. Reports TSN. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
He wrote this on his account on the social platform X.
"Enough talk, it's time to act! Let's finance our aid to Ukraine with the frozen Russian assets. Let's enhance the patrolling of our airspace, secure the Baltic Sea, and protect the EU borders with Russia. Let's quickly adopt new fiscal rules to fund the EU's security and defense. Immediately!" – stated Tusk.
Recall that the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) explained how Europe could receive compensation for its aid to Ukraine. The head of the NSDC's Center for Strategic Communications, Andriy Kovalenko, stated that if compensation for aid to Ukraine is necessary, it would be logical to "confiscate the money belonging to the murderers and destroyers of the world order."
