The Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski is confident that even without assistance from the United States, Ukraine is capable of maintaining its defense until the end of this year. Moreover, European support will continue. Reports TSN. This has been stated by Kontrakty.UA.
He made this statement in an interview with CNN.
"Ukraine can fight on its own with our European support for the rest of the year, and I think Putin should take this into account," noted the Polish minister.
Sikorski did not provide a direct answer on whether he believes the U.S. will offer Ukraine security guarantees.
Instead, the minister pointed out that for Ukraine, the best security guarantee is "its nearly one million-strong army resisting Russian aggression."
Recall that the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, emphasized that Ukraine seeks a just and sustainable peace, "with ironclad security guarantees."
