How Ukrainians feel about the return of refugees from abroad: results of a social survey.

Despite the challenges posed by the war, most Ukrainians maintain a positive attitude towards refugees and are willing to support their return.
Как украинцы относятся к возвращению беженцев из-за границы: результаты социологического опроса.

Ukrainians hope that those who were forced to leave the country due to Russia's full-scale invasion will be able to return home. Many compatriots strive to maintain unity and support despite the challenges of war. Reports TSN. This is reported by Kontrakty.UA.

This is confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

"The attitude is completely tolerant among 47% of respondents, and almost 40% agree that they should return to Ukraine (a total of 87%). Only 13% would not like to see them in Ukraine," the study states.

A new study has shown that Ukrainians' attitudes towards refugees remain predominantly positive. The results align with data from September 2022, when 90% of citizens expressed understanding and did not condemn refugees. Experts note that the 13% negative sentiment is not a cause for concern. In particular, 87% of Ukrainians are willing to accept refugees into their immediate surroundings, indicating a generally favorable situation on this issue in society.

Ukrainians' attitudes towards refugees remain stable, with only slight changes between the results from March 2023 and the current data.

Recall that in the December 2024 survey by KMIS, Ukrainians shared how much longer they are willing to bear the burden of war.
