Who will the U.S. share global influence with? A former minister discusses what lies ahead for Russia.

According to Vladimir Ogryzko, Russia has turned into a raw material appendage of China.
С кем США будут делить мировое влияние: экс-министр рассказал, чего ждать от России.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, sees no reason to discuss the distribution of spheres of influence with Putin, as it does not align with his interests. Reports TSN. This was stated by Kontrakty.UA.

Such an opinion was expressed by former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko in a comment for "KYIV24".

"Let’s sit in the chair of the US President right now and consider, what benefit would I gain from such a proposal? What would I get out of it, would it help me in my plans to make America great? So who is today, or what is today Russia? It is a weak, semi-destroyed economy. It’s the 'second' army in the world that has been stagnating for three years without any strategic success. It is a country that has now submitted to China and serves as its raw material appendage. So the question is, why would I want to deal with such a burden as these Russian inadequates?” said the diplomat.

He believes that Trump fully understands that Russia is currently the greatest threat to the US, as it constantly blackmails the world with nuclear weapons.

"So the question is, why would I want such a division of the world? If I were to divide it, I would probably do so not with a dying or semi-dying Russia, but with China, which is a real competitor for America, and with which the world could genuinely be divided, including at the expense of Russia itself. Because in that case, it would be of no real use to anyone," noted the former minister.

According to Volodymyr Ohryzko, it is hard to imagine that Trump is so shortsighted that he does not understand that "dealing with Russia is more costly for oneself."

It is worth noting that, according to analysts from Yale University, Trump is most likely to negotiate not with Russia, but with China, as the Russian economy has proven to be weak and uninteresting for the US. This gives Ukraine hope for continued US support and victory in the war.
