Ukraine seeks an end to the war, but primarily with security guarantees. TSN reports. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement in an interview with Bloomberg.
"We will see, if Ukraine has a chance to end this war with a just peace for Ukraine and Ukrainians – of course, as the President of Ukraine, I will do everything to bring this closer. If there is a fair agreement, if President Trump can guarantee us this strong and irreversible security, then we will move towards a diplomatic path. I understand that it is impossible to diplomatically end this war without Russia," he said in response to a question about whether Ukraine is ready to negotiate with the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that Putin stated the day before that Russia is ready to sit down for negotiations with Ukraine and outlined his conditions. Analysts suggest that Putin is merely simulating interest in negotiations.
Zelensky's office emphasized that Ukraine will in no case offer Russia peace, as this would mean fulfilling its ultimatum capitulatory demands.
Additionally, we previously reported that Putin expects the West to tire of Ukraine and has high hopes for Donald Trump.
