Zelensky outlined the conditions under which he would engage in negotiations with Putin.

The President demands assurances for Ukraine.
Зеленский объяснил, при каких условиях будет вести переговоры с Путиным.

Engaging in diplomatic talks with Vladimir Putin can only happen after establishing a detailed and effective plan with partners. Reports TSN. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.

President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement in an interview with AP.

"We share a common desire for this war to end. Ukrainians want this more than anyone else in the world. The war is ours, and the victims are ours. These are our people, our independence. All of this is constantly under threat, under attacks, under missile strikes. More contacts, more work, build a plan, and then reach out to the enemy," he said.

The President also emphasized that without security guarantees from allies, any agreement made with Russia would merely serve as a precursor to future aggression. Zelensky reiterated that NATO membership is the best security guarantee for Ukraine.

It is worth noting that Putin, during a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that a "complete withdrawal" of Ukrainian troops from the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine should be a condition for starting peace negotiations with Ukraine. Furthermore, Putin described Russia's "principled position" as a "neutral, non-aligned, and non-nuclear status for Ukraine, its demilitarization, and denazification."

In his statement, the Russian president also addressed the issue of sanctions against Russia, asserting that they should all be lifted. According to Putin, this is not a proposal for a "temporary truce." It is not about freezing the conflict, but rather about its "final resolution," claims the Russian president.
