The protests in Georgia continue unabated, despite the brutal suppression by law enforcement. On the night of November 30, supporters of Euro-integration once again gathered in the square in front of the parliament, where water cannons and tear gas were deployed against them, resulting in physical confrontations between the police and demonstrators.

However, the people have no intention of leaving; they are constructing barricades on Rustaveli Avenue and nearby streets, lighting bonfires, writes "Echo of the Caucasus." Tear gas is being sprayed all along the perimeter of the avenue, while law enforcement attempts to push the protesters back using water cannons. According to the demonstrators, an unknown chemical substance is allegedly being sprayed along with the water. The protesters are throwing firecrackers and explosive devices at the special forces.

It is reported that there were already 60 arrests in Tbilisi during the rally on November 30, as reported by lawyer Nona Kurdovanidze. Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia stated that more than a hundred individuals had been taken by law enforcement. The day before, 43 people were arrested during an impromptu protest.

The law enforcement officers are acting very brutally. They are chasing and beating people, often attacking one individual with several officers.

Recall that the protests reignited after Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced on November 28 that Georgia was abandoning negotiations for EU membership at least until the end of 2028. Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili called this a "constitutional coup." She declared herself the only legitimate representative of power in Georgia and urged citizens to resist the decision made by the "Georgian Dream."

As reported by "Telegraph," Ukraine supported the opposition protests in Georgia and condemned their violent dispersal. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's statement emphasizes that the current situation is a result of numerous violations during the elections on October 26.
