Massive shelling of critical infrastructure on November 17 resulted in significant damage to Ukraine's energy system. This, in turn, led to the restoration of power outage schedules.
However, we can expect the situation regarding electricity to improve in the near future. This was reported by Yuriy Boyko, an advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine on energy issues, during a broadcast on the "Kyiv24" channel.
Power outages for household consumers are still unavoidable. Nevertheless, energy workers are operating around the clock in three shifts to restore the damaged infrastructure.
According to the official, the sole reason for the restrictions in electricity supply remains enemy attacks on critical infrastructure facilities. Specialists are making every effort for the urgent restoration of damaged equipment.
The most challenging situation has arisen in the Odesa region, which has experienced the greatest destruction due to the attacks. However, even in this region, improvements in the electricity supply system are already being observed.
Energy workers plan to minimize outage schedules in the coming days. This forecast is possible in the absence of new massive shelling of the energy infrastructure.
Repair crews continue to work in an intensified mode to expedite the restoration of damaged facilities. Specialists are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation with electricity supply across all regions of Ukraine.
Earlier, "Telegraph" also reported that an expert raised concerns about the potential for power outages in winter. In sub-zero temperatures, there will be at least one round of outages.
