A powerful explosion occurred in Kyiv. Russians attacked the capital for the second time this morning using kamikaze drones.
This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. According to him, air defense is targeting enemy objectives.
"Stay in shelters," the city leader emphasized.
It is worth noting that just minutes before the explosion, the Air Force warned about an enemy UAV flying towards Kyiv.
Local sources claim that it was a "Shahed". Preliminary reports indicate it was shot down by air defense. Videos circulating online have already shown the moment of the explosion.
Shortly after, an all-clear was declared in the capital. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, informed that debris was recorded in an open area of the Desnyansky district of the city.
"As a result, grass and bushes caught fire. Currently, information about damages and casualties is being established," he noted.
Local sources also report that after the explosion, thick smoke is visible at the site where the enemy drone fell.
Recall that earlier we reported that during the night and early morning on Wednesday, January 29, Russians once again attacked Ukraine with drones. Air defense was active in Kyiv, and the debris of the enemy UAV fell near a metro station in the Darnytskyi district of the capital.
We also reported explosions in the Odesa region. After the attack, a fire broke out in the city of Kiliya. An air raid alert was in effect in the region from 1:25 to 4:03.
