There are no signs that Russia is preparing to establish peace, which is why NATO countries must invest more efforts into military cooperation with partners and enhance support for Ukraine. Reports TSN. This was communicated by Kontrakty.UA.

This was stated by the chairman of NATO's Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, at a press conference in Brussels on January 16, as reported by "European Truth".

Admiral Bauer emphasized that the Kremlin's unwillingness to stop the war necessitates a response from NATO.

"Russia's war against Ukraine has global ramifications, and there are no signs that the Kremlin is preparing for peace. Putin has put the Russian economy on a military footing, and Russia is increasingly collaborating with China, Iran, and North Korea. This demands a united and strong response. That’s why we are putting more effort into military cooperation and sharing knowledge and experience with our partners," he stated.

Admiral Rob Bauer reported that the NATO Military Committee meeting on January 15-16 was the first to include chiefs of defense from 26 NATO partner countries and the European Union.

Among the countries represented were Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Qatar, South Korea, Serbia, Switzerland, and Ukraine.

"Today, the chiefs of defense from the Alliance had an extended discussion with their Ukrainian counterpart, General Oleksandr Syrskyi. We confirmed that NATO will do everything possible to assist and invest in Ukraine in the coming years, protecting the rules-based international order, particularly through security assistance and training for Ukraine," Admiral Bauer shared.

It is worth noting that the President of Ukraine believes that to achieve peace and prevent renewed aggression from Russia, Ukraine must have a strong position based on security guarantees.
