The Guardian: Ukraine may gain the chance for immediate NATO membership if Russia disrupts peace.

European leaders are discussing the possibility of Ukraine's immediate accession to NATO in the event of a ceasefire violation by Russia.
Гардіан: Украина может получить возможность немедленного вступления в НАТО в случае нарушения мира Россией.

Ukraine could automatically gain NATO membership if Russia violates the ceasefire after a peace agreement is reached. Reports TSN. This information has been shared by Kontakty.UA.

European leaders will discuss this possibility on Monday in Paris, according to the publication The Guardian.

According to the report, leaders from Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Denmark will participate in the summit, along with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

During the meeting, they will discuss what defense capabilities Europe could provide to Ukraine to offer reliable security guarantees. In particular, there is a plan to grant Ukraine automatic NATO membership in the event of a clear violation of the ceasefire by Russia.

The Guardian claims that some American senators have promoted the idea of NATO membership contingent upon Russia violating the ceasefire – likely requiring the U.S. to remain a guarantor of protection for Ukraine – and this notion is now supported by high-ranking European leaders, including Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

Stubb stated that in any negotiations, Ukraine must be guaranteed "independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity," and there should be no room for Russian fantasies regarding spheres of influence.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined the main requirements for ensuring Ukraine's security prior to its NATO membership.
