The active phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war may come to an end this year. However, Ukraine requires practical steps to ensure security guarantees. Reports TSN. This was stated by Kontakty.UA.

Such expectations from the business community were voiced by First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko during the "Ukrainian Breakfast" in Davos.

"Business anticipates that the active phase of the war will conclude this year. But of course, we must negotiate security guarantees and their practical implementation," she noted.

According to Svyrydenko, security guarantees should be part of the future agreement, and "NATO is the best solution here."

The Deputy Prime Minister added that Western sanctions against Russia must remain in place.

"They need to be strengthened. Then we can discuss and are able to discuss a peace agreement," Svyrydenko stated.
