A ceasefire in the war may currently be disadvantageous for Ukraine, as Russia will utilize the pause to prepare for the next attack, while Ukrainians engage in political disputes. Reports TSN. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
This opinion was expressed by the commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Andriy Biletsky. He shared this in an interview on the YouTube channel PRESSING.
"We don’t know many things. We don’t know Trump’s strategy – perhaps it doesn’t even exist. The process won’t be quick," Biletsky is convinced.
According to the commander, whether a ceasefire is beneficial for Ukraine or not "depends on where we are at the moment." Considering the current situation, it is disadvantageous.
"Russia will remain a monolithic authoritarian regime, we will have an undeniable serious internal discord, and a challenging economic situation. In this, we will need to have a strong political will to implement military reforms," the brigade commander explained.
He noted that if Russia is given time for a break, "we have chances that the next round will be significantly worse for us than this one."
"However, if we carry out army modernization and so on, there is a chance to achieve a significantly more dignified peace than we have now. And to emerge as a nation not in depression, not feeling that we have lost... If things were truly that bad, I would say myself – let’s have a ceasefire. But that’s not the case. However, there is no system," Biletsky believes.
Earlier, Andriy Biletsky stated that Crimea was simply given up.
