This was said by Volodymyr Zelensky during a speech on Diplomat's Day.
"A Concrete Result is Needed"
According to the head of state, being an ambassador of Ukraine, a Ukrainian diplomat, means being a person who can answer very specifically the question of what has been done to bring peace closer and to protect the interests of Ukraine and its citizens. Zelensky emphasizes that the next year will be crucial in terms of this task.
"We must do everything to ensure that the 25th year becomes a year of just peace for Ukraine," - the Ukrainian leader stressed.
He added that in January, following the change of administration in the United States, there will be many changes in international affairs. In particular, this includes:
- elections in Germany and Poland;
- changes in the internal balance of power and sentiments in the Middle East, the Gulf region, North Africa, the Sahel, and Latin America;
- promotion of Ukraine's interests in relations with China, India, and other Asian countries;
- development of real partnership with Japan;
- more substantive relations with Korea.
"There are hundreds of areas of relations in the world where Ukraine needs a real, concrete, and tangible result. And this is your job. To be in all necessary offices, to be in the media, to communicate with all the people important for Ukraine, and to be understood – so that Ukraine achieves the necessary results. I thank everyone who works in this manner – who works not just for the fatigue at the end of the working day or for the gratitude of their immediate supervisor, not from 9 to 6, but for results for Ukraine," Zelensky emphasized.
Earlier, Zelensky dismissed and appointed ambassadors of Ukraine in several countries. This includes diplomatic representatives in Slovenia, Lithuania, Rwanda, the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Indonesia, Japan, and China.
