The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has commented on the situation regarding the sharp decline of the ruble, attempting to reassure citizens with his usual words, "there is no reason to panic." Reports TCN. This has been communicated by Kontakty.UA.
The Russian dictator made his statement during a press conference, as reported by state media.
Putin explained the reasons behind the fall of the Russian ruble, stating that it is linked not only to inflation.
"This is related not only to inflationary processes – it is connected to budget payments, and it is tied to oil prices. There are many seasonal factors at play," – declared the President of Russia.
He sought to calm the citizens of the aggressor nation, asserting that "the situation is under control," and "there are definitely no grounds for panic."
"Yes, both in our country and in neighboring countries, the processes are complex, but they are under control," – added the Kremlin leader.
It is worth noting that the day before, the Russian ruble sharply fell: on November 27, its exchange rate was 110 rubles per dollar. The Ukrainian Central Bank explained that this decline in the Russian currency occurred against the backdrop of sanctions against Russian banks and a reduction in exports.
