In Ukraine, a law prohibiting vehicle access in nature reserves has come into effect. According to TSN, this was reported by Kontakty.UA.
Starting from February 1, 2025, Law No. 4188-IX will be in force in Ukraine, which amends the Law on the "Natural Reserve Fund of Ukraine." The primary aim of these amendments is to enhance the protection of natural reserves and their classification.
The new law explicitly prohibits the passage of any mechanical vehicles within the territories of the natural reserve fund (NRF).
The fines for violating the rules of protection and use of NRF territories are as follows:
- for citizens – from 153 to 408 hryvnias
- for officials – from 255 to 510 hryvnias
In addition to paying fines, violators must compensate for the damage caused to the natural reserve fund.
For every 100 meters of illegal access in the reserve, the following compensation payments are stipulated (taking into account the 2025 indexation):
- moped, motorcycle, scooter – 4020.80 hryvnias
- passenger car, minibus, pickup – 6428.80 hryvnias
- bus, truck – 8848.00 hryvnias
It is worth noting that Ukraine plans to introduce new fines for drivers who use vehicles that produce excessive noise.
