This was stated by military expert and former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ihor Romanenko, in a comment to the YouTube channel RBK-Ukraine. This information is reported by Kontrakty.UA.
According to Romanenko, Russia possesses a significant amount of Soviet-era equipment. They are modernizing it and combining two units into one combat-ready one. Despite this, such equipment is operational, mobile, and deployed to the front lines.
"Regarding personnel, technical analysis indicates that for another 4-5 years, they will be able to sustain their armed forces with personnel," he explained.
The expert noted that since last summer, the Russians have increased their supply to the armed forces in various ways - from 35,000 to 55,000 individuals per month.
"For instance, regarding ammunition: only North Korea supplies 60% of the munitions for the Russian Federation and has sent over 2.5 million recently. In contrast, all of Europe has assisted us with just one million munitions over a year and a half," Romanenko reported.
In his opinion, Europe is very slowly restoring the operations of defense industry enterprises, and at this rate, the situation could become quite alarming.
"As in early 2014 and in 2022, considering the conventional, that is, non-nuclear potential, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had a combat capability greater than all the countries of Europe combined - excluding the Americans, for example. That's all. We need to take a pragmatic approach to assessing potential capabilities and the real assistance being provided to us," he stated.
North Korea's Involvement in Russia's War Against Ukraine
Recall that North Korea supplies artillery shells to Russia, has sent over 10,000 soldiers, and is planning a new troop deployment. According to intelligence, North Korea may transfer 150 ballistic missiles and additional howitzers to Russia.
In particular, political technologist Taras Zahorodnii assessed whether U.S. President Donald Trump could compel North Korea to cease its assistance to Russia in the war. During his first term, Trump attempted to negotiate with North Korea and even met with Kim Jong-un.
