Russia is showing a willingness to escalate the war against Ukraine, stating its refusal to "freeze" the front line or make compromises. Moscow insists on Ukraine's unconditional capitulation. Reports TSN. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.

This is mentioned in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, claimed that the Kremlin is supposedly ready for negotiations, while categorically rejecting any "freezing" of the front line or the establishment of demilitarized zones. Naryshkin stated that the only way to achieve peace is through the "removal" of the reasons that "forced" the Russian Federation to initiate a full-scale war.

"Such rhetoric indicates that Moscow continues to insist on Ukraine's unconditional capitulation. The Kremlin has also repeatedly demanded control over all territories of the four illegally annexed regions, including those currently under Ukrainian control," the ISW report states.

Russian officials continue to demonstrate a desire to seize more territory in Ukraine than they currently hold and are unwilling to accept compromises or engage in fair negotiations, regardless of who might mediate.

Analysts predict that the Russian command may be planning a new offensive in the southeastern part of the Dnipropetrovsk region. This area is not part of the illegally annexed territories; however, its capture could support the enemy's long-standing goal of complete occupation of the Donetsk region.

It is worth noting that on November 18, the spokesperson for the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, stated that for his country, the "freezing" of the war in Ukraine along the front line, as proposed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is unacceptable.
