The agreement to end the full-scale Russian war should not be imposed on Ukraine. Kyiv must have a military in the future that is larger than it was before the conflict began. TSN reports. This information comes from Kontakty.UA.
This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, as reported by The Guardian.
"The next task is to ensure that there is no dictated peace," the head of the German government expressed.
According to the chancellor, NATO unity must be "always guaranteed." Furthermore, he emphasized that no decision can be made without the involvement of the United States of America.
The chancellor dismissed the possibility of sending German troops to Ukraine at this stage, stating that it is unclear under what conditions Ukraine would be ready to agree to a peace treaty. Scholz stressed that even after achieving peace, Ukraine must have the capacity to develop, particularly by creating stronger armed forces equipped with modern Western weaponry.
It is worth noting that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, did not regard Ukraine as an equal participant in the peace negotiations when responding to reporters' questions.
