As of now, over 100 artillery systems and 100 short-range ballistic missiles of the Kn-23/24 type have been transferred from North Korea to Russia. Reports TCN. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in response to a request from the agency "Interfax-Ukraine".
The intelligence agency informed that North Korea began supplying artillery systems to Russia starting in October 2024 and specified the quantity involved.
"In total, over 100 units of various types of equipment have been transferred, including: 170-mm self-propelled howitzers M-1989 and 240-mm multiple launch rocket systems M-1991," the report states.
Additionally, North Korea continues to supply large-caliber artillery ammunition and short-range ballistic missiles of the Kn-23/24 type to Russia. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, as of November, over 5 million units of artillery ammunition and 100 ballistic missiles have been delivered.
The intelligence also reported the transfer of M-1989 Koksan self-propelled howitzers from North Korea to Russian territory.
"Currently, more than 60 units of 170-mm self-propelled howitzers M-1989 'Koksan' have been moved from North Korean territory to the Russian Federation, some of which were planned to be delivered to the Saratov VAKU, likely for the purpose of training personnel. Information regarding the status of these artillery systems is unavailable," the Main Intelligence Directorate indicated.
Recall that recently, the U.S. Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Robert Wood, announced North Korea's intention to transfer new ballistic missiles to Russia – in addition to the over 100 already provided.
