The greatest concerns regarding the reliability of this study among experts stem from the absence of the head of the GUR, Kyrylo Budanov, who was not even included in the survey. Reports TCN. This information is provided by Kontrakty.UA.
This situation appears even more mysterious against the backdrop of a survey conducted by the sociological company Active Group. According to the results released on February 18, 50.3% of Ukrainians trust Budanov, placing him second after Zaluzhny (61%). President Zelensky ranked fourth with a score of 42.4%.
Yevhen Magda, director of the Institute of World Policy, explains the possible rise in Zelensky's ratings due to his tough rhetoric towards Donald Trump. Additionally, Zelensky's sharp response to the American president's statement about a potential halt in assistance to Ukraine may have positively influenced his support among the public.
At the same time, Magda points out the potential political motives behind Budanov's exclusion from the "Rating" survey.
“There’s intrigue surrounding the reasons why the 'Rating' did not include Budanov in the study. Did they include him but choose not to publish the results? It’s evident that the authorities view him as a potential political competitor,” says the political scientist.
