During a cabinet meeting, he announced that he “is not inclined to provide too many security guarantees to Ukraine.”
“We will make Europe do it... We are talking about Europe being their closest neighbor, but we guarantee that everything will go well,” said the American president.
Donald Trump also assured that the United Kingdom and France are prepared to send peacekeepers to Ukraine. The U.S. will support these initiatives.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he will not agree to a ceasefire without security guarantees.
It is worth noting that France and the United Kingdom have prepared a draft of security guarantees for Ukraine, which may include a provision for the deployment of peacekeepers.
