The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechia, Jan Lipavský, is convinced that the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump will not abruptly halt aid to Ukraine. TSN reports. This information is provided by Kontrakty.UA.
This was reported by the Czech publication Novinky.
Lipavský noted that under any circumstances, Trump will demand greater contributions from Europe towards its own security.
"We do not know whether American assistance to Ukraine will continue or not. It won't be the case that Donald Trump will flip a switch, and the next day Ukraine will receive nothing at all," he stated.
Lipavský added that he remains optimistic, even if the statements of the Republicans and Trump regarding Ukraine are vague.
"When I look at what Donald Trump says about China, about Iran, about security in the Middle East, and how he talks about North Korea, I would find it strange if Russia were not yet included in this puzzle," he said.
It is worth noting that earlier, newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump stated that his administration would focus on the Russian-Ukrainian war.
