This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a statement from Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
"No one can stop Putin with phone calls. The attack last night, one of the largest in this war, proved that telephone diplomacy cannot replace real support for Ukraine from the entire West," Tusk emphasized.
He noted that the coming weeks will be crucial not only for the war itself but also for the future of the world.
Scholz and Putin's Conversation
Recall that on November 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had a phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. These were the first such talks in two years.
It should be noted that according to Tusk, after the phone call with Putin, Scholz reached out to him.
RBK-Ukraine also reported that yesterday former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba mentioned that before calling Putin, Scholz discussed it with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
However, Zelensky expressed a negative opinion about this idea at that time.
