The dictator-president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is reportedly prepared to engage in negotiations with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky "if necessary." TSN reports. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
This statement was made by the spokesperson of the Kremlin "führer," Dmitry Peskov.
"Putin himself has said that he will negotiate with Zelensky if necessary," the dictator's press secretary commented.
However, in his typical fashion, Peskov mentioned the supposed "illegitimacy" of the Ukrainian president. According to him, "one must consider the legal aspects of Zelensky's legitimacy."
Peskov cynically referred to the "desire" to resolve the war in Ukraine "primarily through peaceful means." But at the same time, he emphasized that "the main goal for Russia is to achieve its objectives in Ukraine."
It is worth noting that analysts from the Institute for the Study of War state that Russia has no intention of honoring peace agreements. In particular, the Kremlin has intensified its campaign regarding the "illegitimacy" of the Ukrainian government.
