On Thursday, November 28, during a plenary session of the Lviv City Council, the deputies made the decision to rename Technical Street in Lviv in honor of public figure Iryna Farion, who was murdered in July this year. Reports TSN. This information was shared by Kontrakty.UA.

This street is located in the Halytskyi district of the city and runs from Mateika Street to the intersection of Ustiyanovych and Biblioteka Streets. Nearby is the student campus of Lviv Polytechnic, where Iryna Farion taught, as well as the university named after Franko, where she studied.
The Lviv City Council reminded that Iryna Farion was shot on July 19 this year, and she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
On July 22, thousands of Ukrainians bid farewell to the linguist. She was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery, in plot number 22.
At the end of summer, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the facade of the building at 3 Masaryka Street, where Iryna Farion lived.
It is worth noting that the suspect in the murder of former MP Iryna Farion was detained in Dnipro. Hundreds of specialists from various law enforcement agencies worked on solving the crime.
