Ukraine hopes that the concept of "peace through strength" will form the foundation of Trump's policy, according to Sybiha.

Ukraine is counting on the concept of "peace through strength" as the foundation for the policy of the new U.S. administration under elected President Donald Trump.
Украина надеется, что концепция "мира через силу" станет основой политики Трампа, - заявил Сибига.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiha, at the forum "Diplomacy Today: Ukraine's Role in Global Politics," as reported by a correspondent from RBC-Ukraine. This information is also provided by Kontrakty.UA.

"I really hope that this date (1000 days of full-scale invasion - ed.) will encourage our main allies and partners to rethink their approach, moving from a policy of reactivity and delay to swift and decisive actions, that is, achieving peace through strength," he said.

The minister noted that this approach is also supported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

"This approach has been articulated by President Zelensky, and we expect that it will form the basis of the activities of the new US administration under President Trump. It is about achieving peace through strength, attaining a comprehensive and just peace. This concept has clear elements," he added.

Among the key elements of "peace through strength," Sybiha highlighted:

No compromises on Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.

"And these elements also require very clear and understandable steps: inviting Ukraine to NATO, lifting any restrictions on supplying weapons to Ukraine, as well as Ukraine's use of weapons on the territory of Russia, against the aggressor's territory, but of course, targeting military objectives," he added.

Trump's Peace Plan

Donald Trump previously claimed he could end the war between Russia and Ukraine in one day. According to media reports, among the possible points of his "peace plan" was the transfer of part of Ukrainian territories.

British publications reported another version of this plan, which involves creating a buffer zone between the countries. This zone would be protected by European forces.

At the same time, one of Trump's advisors stated that the return of Crimea to Ukraine is already "unrealistic." However, the office of the elected president denied this information, calling it inaccurate.
