Currently, Russia holds the initiative in eastern Ukraine due to issues with the supply and staffing of Ukrainian brigades. Reports TCN. This information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Regarding the battlefield, we must not relinquish the initiative to the Russians, who unfortunately have it in the east today due to slow supply and staffing of our brigades," he explained.
The President also emphasized that in the north and in the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian forces have regained the initiative. He urged to do the same in the Donetsk direction to regain control over the situation in the east.
Zelensky stressed that it is critically important for Ukraine to receive not only support but also specific security guarantees from international partners to strengthen its positions.
Recall that the war in 2024 cost Ukraine approximately $100 billion. This demonstrates the evident strength of the alliance between Ukraine, the U.S., and the European Union.
