The President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is most eager for peace, but it must be just. Reports TSN. This was reported by Kontrakty.UA.
The head of state made this comment in an interview with "Suspilne".
"No one desires peace as much as we do. The change in U.S. policy indicates that, in my opinion, the war will come to an end," the president noted.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine's primary objective is to maintain a strong position and achieve a just peace.
"A just peace is very important for us, so there is no feeling that we lost our best for the injustice that was imposed on us," he stressed.
The president also firmly rejected the possibility of concessions under pressure from more powerful nations: "We cannot bow our heads here just because someone is big, and we are smaller. We are a great nation, and we must prove it."
Let us remind you that President Zelensky responded to the conditions under which Ukraine could agree to fair negotiations with Russia.
