American negotiators have not yet made direct promises to their Russian counterparts, Dmitriev emphasized. According to him, it is very important to build bridges because "U.S.-Russian relations are very important for the world."
"I think the promise is this: let's engage in dialogue, let's find the best solutions for our countries, for other countries, for the global community," he said.
He denied that Russia is seeking to ease the sanctions it is facing.
