This is reported by RBK-Ukraine referring to Bloomberg and Dennik N. Additionally, Kontrakty.UA has shared this information.

The Fico government faces the risk of losing its parliamentary majority after four coalition deputies refused to vote until their demands are met. Without their support, the ruling coalition can muster only 75 votes, which is insufficient for a majority in the 150-member parliament.

Fico remarked that "it is not 2018 now," recalling that he resigned from the position of prime minister immediately after mass protests back then. The extensive demonstrations were sparked by the murder of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancée.

Speaking on state radio, Fico did not rule out early elections if the coalition loses its majority, but he stated that this is not the optimal solution.

"The government can only be changed through elections," declared the Prime Minister of Slovakia.

Fico Blames Ukraine for Organizing Protests

It is worth noting that the Slovak Prime Minister previously claimed that Ukraine is allegedly involved in the anti-government protests in Bratislava and other cities across the country. Furthermore, according to Fico, even citizens of Ukraine are supposedly participating in protests against his government.

Protests in Slovakia began on January 24 after Fico visited dictator Vladimir Putin in Moscow. He aimed to resolve the issue of Russian gas transit through Ukraine.
