"No one can stop Putin with phone calls. The attack last night, one of the largest in this war, has shown that telephone diplomacy cannot replace the real support for Ukraine from the entire West," Tusk emphasized.
He pointed out that the upcoming weeks will be crucial not only for the war itself but also for the future of the world.
Scholz and Putin's Conversation
Recall that on November 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held a phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. This marked the first such negotiations in two years.
It should be noted that according to Tusk, after the phone call with Putin, Scholz got in touch with him.
RBK-Ukraine also reported that yesterday, former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba mentioned that before calling Putin, Scholz discussed it with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
However, at that time, Zelensky expressed his disapproval of the idea.
