This is reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the dictator during the "Direct Line." The information comes from Kontrakty.UA.
While commenting on the elimination of Kyryllov, Putin claimed it was allegedly a "terrorist act" that could have resulted in casualties among other Russians.
He also lamented that supposedly Ukraine has already "committed such terrorist acts" against Russian citizens.
"This, of course, indicates that our law enforcement and special services are missing these strikes. We need to improve this work and prevent such serious lapses on our part," he added.
Kyryllov's Elimination
On December 16, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officially issued a posthumous suspicion against the Russian general for using banned chemical weapons against the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to the investigation, he was responsible for more than 4,800 chemical attacks using toxic substances such as CN (chloroacetophenone) and CS (chlorobenzalmalononitrile) since the war began.
On December 17, news of his elimination became known. Alongside the general, his aide Ilya Polikarpov, recognized for his involvement in Russian propaganda, was also killed.
As noted by sources from RBK-Ukraine, the operation to eliminate the general was organized by the SBU.
